Meet Hannah

Hello Friends!!

Welcome to my blog! This is my journal of thoughts on what the Lord has brought me through and what He is continually teaching me.

As a start on introductions, my name is Hannah Sulfridge. I was born in '97, spiritually adopted in '06, and legally adopted in '07.

If you calculate all those dates, I am 20 years old. I was saved and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 9 years old. I was legally adopted in the courts of Texas when I was 10 years old.

To continue with this not-so-mini bio, I would love to share my story from the beginning...a very good place to start, I hear :)

I was born the youngest of four siblings, all older brothers. When I was just shy of five years, I entered the Texas foster care system. I was first placed in two kinship placements before landing in a long term foster home right before my 7th birthday. I stayed in the same foster home for about two and one-half years.

In 2006, I met my forever mom. I moved in with mom in August. After being taught by mom about the Lord and who Jesus is, I became a Christian one Sunday afternoon in October.

After waiting in limbo for a year, we finalized my adoption in court on July 20, 2007. I was officially a Sulfridge!!

But I didn't remain an only child for long :) We adopted Ashley (19) in July 2009, Amy (15) in October 2013, Rachel (12) in 2016 and we are waiting to officially adopt the youngest Sulfridge sister in the next couple months :)

So, that's my story in a nutshell! I pray that as you browse and read, your spirit will be ministered to and the Lord uses my writing to bring you closer to the Lord in your walk with Him!

Thank you and Lord Bless!!

"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of god that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: WHom having not see, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."
~ 1 Peter 1:7-9 KJV
